In a previous post, I showed a lil preview of my piece for Gallery 1988’s Crazy for Cult show and here is the entire illustration! The show is all about cult films so I decided to do a portrait of Ms. Dawn Weiner from Welcome to the Dollhouse. When I saw the film I couldn’t believe how much Dawn and I have/had in common. From the cute/annoying dancing sister, dark dog days in middle school and awkward appearance,our lives (at that age)were ridiculously similar.The shows open in NYC on August 9th!
